Emily and Tom were married on July 18th, with a ceremony at the Christ the King Parish Church and a reception at the Popponesset Inn (aka “The Poppy”) on Cape Cod. They had the perfect day for a summer cape wedding.

 Tom and Emily are just the sweetest people, and Shawn and I had a blast with them. I may have a slight crush on them…. shhhh 🙂

 I started the day with the ladies at New Seabury for getting ready shots, and my second shooter, Shawn Read, was with the fellas. After everyone was dressed, the guys came over to the ladies’ location for the first look before their ceremony at the beautiful Christ the King Parish, where Tom’s uncle performed the ceremony.

From there, they celebrated the night away at The Poppy. I truly love  it there; I love how you are ON the beach, and everything exudes casual elegance (especially with the new white tent!).  I also don’t think it is a coincidence that I always see the best partiers on the dance floor there.

There were so many little personal touches that made their day so special;  I loved that Emily wrapped her flowers in lace from her mother’s veil, and she wore her great aunt’s necklace that her mother wore on her wedding day. (One of my favorite images is the one of Emily’s mom looking at her after putting on her necklace.)
