Bernadette and Seth were married on May 31 with a ceremony at Thompson Memorial Chapel in Williamstown, MA, followed by a tented reception at their gorgeous home in Vermont.
I had never met with Bernadette or Seth in person before the wedding, but, because of my correspondence via email with Bernadette, I was SURE I was going to love them immediately—you know when you have that feeling? And, I was right; these two were magnificently awesome to work with, and just I adored them!
They had beautiful details, and both the ceremony and the reception were in gorgeous locations.
My second shooter, Derek Fowles, started the day at Bernadette and Seth’s place, where the boys (and their pup) were getting ready. At the same time, I was with Bernadette and the ladies at the Orchards Hotel in Williamstown, MA. We all met for the ceremony at the amazingly beautiful Thompson Chapel at Williams College.
From there, the couple hosted a lovely tented reception at their home, which was only 10 minute away, but, just over the Vermont border.
There were so many great moments at this wedding, it is hard to pick a few that stand out… so, here are a few favorite things:
1.) There was no “best man” because Seth loved them all . . . They had 8 best men.
2.) The touching moment at the ceremony when B+ S knelt at the foot of a statue of Mother Mary in memory of Seth and Cornelia’s parents, William and Nancy Alden.
3.) How awesome the ferns were in their yard!
4.) That Seth was telling me all about his beloved koi, and an hour later he was presented with this fabulous painting of koi, done by a close friend.
And one of my favorite things BEFORE the wedding—I had asked Bernadette in email: What part of the wedding day are you looking most forward to? She replied: “EVERYTHING! Eating pizza after.” Definitely my type of girl!
B+S, you both rock. I really loved working with you, and I wish you both a lifetime of blissful happiness together.
xxAndrea
Thanks to Derek for getting these photos of Seth before the ceremony!
